Abstract
FTIR-PAS measurements of a packaging material containing aluminum foil, polyamide and polyethylene (P.E.) have been carried out. An attempt has been made to obtain information about the thickness of the layers and about the surface characteristics. The influence of the reflection of transmitted IR light by the aluminum foil is investigated using a total absorber (carbon foil) as backing material.
