Abstract

Dispersion-managed (DM) solitons in periodically dispersion-compensated fibers have superior properties for the application to high-speed single-channel transmission, as discussed in the previous chapter. They also exhibit some benefits for the application to WDM transmission. In this chapter, we present issues in WDM transmission using DM solitons.
