Spherical Waves in Media with Complicated Properties

Abstract

The problem of transient interaction of deformable bodies with surrounding media is versatile since, when making the studies, we deal with the bodies of different geometry and use various models of the media. Considering a separate class of boundary surfaces (for example, the spherical ones), we have an opportunity to make a sufficiently complete study of the particular problem and to reveal the main laws typical for other similar problems. The number of problems whose solution presumes accounting for the influence of the media on the behavior of structures, buildings, and systems, multiplies continuously. These are the problems for bio-mechanics, pipelines, diagnostics of defects, analysis of the nuclear reactors’ components, design of the structures at sea shore and offshore, seismic effects, interactions of liquids and gasses with soft and permeable surfaces, etc.
