Abstract
In this chapter, we introduce the concept of a T*-pure semigroup and show that a semigroup S is regular and T*-pure if and only if S is a semilattice of groups. We also show that a semigroup S is T*-pure if and only if S3 is a semilattice of groups. Moreover, we study group congruences and semilattice congruences on such a semigroup and give some properties of fuzzy congruences on T*-pure semigroups.
