Zusammenfassung
Die Vorkommenshäufi gkeit aff ektiver Störungen in der Allgemeinbevölkerung beträgt im zeitlichen Querschnitt etwa 6% (ohne Einbeziehung einmalig aufgetretener hypomaner Episoden). Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, irgendwann im Leben unter einer aff ektiven Störung zu leiden, liegt bei knapp 19%. Dabei beträgt die Lebenszeitprävalenz für unipolar depressive Störungen, wie majore depressive Episode (MDE) oder Dysthymie, etwa 17% (Jacobi et al. 2004). Dabei erscheint die chronisch verlaufende dysthyme Störung mit einer Lebenszeitprävalenz von 2,5% weitaus weniger häufi g aufzutreten als die meist phasenhaft e (einmalige oder rekurrierende) depressive Episode. Tab. 7.1 gibt einen Überblick über Punkt-, Strecken- und Lebenszeitprävalenzen depressiver Erkrankungen in Deutschland. Bei (2006) findet sich eine epidemiologische Übersicht über Vorkommenshäufi gkeiten bipolarer Störungen.
