Zusammenfassung

Antiaging — kollektiver Realitätsverlust einer modernen Wohlstandsgesellschaft oder das Bemühen, dem Alterungsprozess vorzubeugen und altersassoziierte Begleiterscheinungen zu beseitigen, also möglichst lange jung zu wirken und leistungsfähig zu bleiben? Während bei einer Static Motion Illusion der Stillstand die Realität und die vermeintlichen Bewegungen im Bild die in der zentralnervösen Verarbeitung resultierende illusionäre Verkennung dieser Realität darstellt, ist es beim Altern umgekehrt: „Eins-zwei-drei im Sauseschritt, läuft die Zeit, wir laufen mit“ (Wilhelm Busch). Mit der Zeit Altern ist Realität, Stop the Clock ist Illusion.
