Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 3213))

Abstract

There are many e-learning systems available nowadays but most of them are geared towards access through desktop platforms. With increasing use of mobile devices, it is apparent that the learners would need to access these systems through a variety of devices such as PDA, mobile phone or hybrid devices. Current design solutions do not cater for such multi-platform environments. This paper focuses on some of the issues from the perspective of mobility, multiple platforms and learner experience, and provides details of mobile adaptation framework that is designed to circumvent these problems.
