Abstract

We survey main cryptographic features in several major wireless technologies. Cellular systems GSM/GPRS and UMTS (3G) are covered, and also shorter range systems Wireless LAN and Bluetooth. Then we continue by presenting problematic areas with applying cryptography in these wireless systems. Several examples are given in each problem area.
