Abstract
In this paper, we propose the two-tiered proxy system that offers seamless media service to mobile nodes in mobile computing environment. We also propose the enhanced prefetching strategy. Our proxy system can provide seamless multimedia streaming service and supports user mobility efficiently. We show that the initial delay of media service, handoff delay, and network traffic are reduced in our simulation.
