Summary
Using the example of Jihomorayska energetika, a.s. (JME), the largest utility company in the Czech Republic, this presentation will show how the firm has repositioned itself in the light of the new market situation following the liberalization of the energy market.
Corporate strategy was used as the starting point in the creation of among other things, a new Controlling conception and IT-strategy, and in realizing these initiatives with corresponding supporting measures.
Strategic reorganization entails a complete overhaul of the company’s business process landscape with a view to creating a consistent, customer-oriented and unified system of process execution.
Modern information technology plays a decisive role in the Business Reengineering effort because it enables the firm to completely redesign its processes.
In the context of the project, the effects of individual substrategies are realized in technological, organizational and personnel actions.
With regard to the technological and organizational considerations, the new strategic alignment means increased standardization and flexibility as well as the automation of administrative- and routine tasks to increase employee productivity.
Jihomorayskci energetika has decided to use ARIS for the analysis, optimization and continuous improvement of company business processes. This combination of ARIS software and strategic consulting supports a rapid, efficient and high-value project realization. In this way, an integrated project can be realized within the appointed timeframe — from strategy through conception to operational implementation — with maximum benefit to the client.
