The Design of Adaptive Platform for Visual-Intensive Applications over the Grid

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNCS,volume 3032))

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the design and implementation of an adaptive visualization platform effectively supporting Grid-enabled visual-intensive applications such as mechanical CAD, medical, virtual heritage and etc across heterogeneous network of computing resources. In our preliminary design of the visualization platform, we choose to focus on the study of the adaptive strategies and caching mechanisms for visualization applications over the Grid. The architecture of the conceptual design of the system is given and discussed.
