Zusammenfassung
Srebrenica ist ein kleines Städtchen im Nordosten von Bosnien und Herzegowina, etwa 75 Kilometer nordöstlich von Sarajevo und nahe der Grenze zu Serbien gelegen. Heute steht der Name des Ortes für das schlimmste Massaker seit dem Ende des → Zweiten Weltkriegs in Europa wie auch für das Versagen internationaler Schutztruppen. Die Weltgemeinschaft sah Massenmord und Vertreibungen nahezu untätig zu.
