Differenzen im Verstehen: Die Kulturelle Heterogenität mentaler Repräsentationen und Emotionen. Eine Pilotstudie an Migranten und Nichtmigranten.

Zusammenfassung

Der Ausgangspunkt unserer Überlegungen waren Untersuchungen, die kulturelle Unterschiede im Denken, Handeln und Fühlen nachwiesen. Die zentrale Frage-stellung unseres Projektes war, ob Emotionen und mentale Repräsentationen kulturspezifische Unterschiede aufweisen, die die Wahrnehmungs- und Ver-stehensprozesse beeinflussen. Um diese kulturelle Heterogenität auf neuronaler Ebene nachzuweisen, wurde eine fMRT-Untersuchung geplant und Probanden aus zwei unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen gesucht. Unser Ansatz verfolgte das Ziel, kulturelle Prägungen festzustellen, da wir davon ausgehen, dass die Kultur, in der wir sozialisiert sind, auch die Areale unseres Gehirns beeinflusst und ver-ändert. Auch wenn die menschliche Grundausstattung überwiegend gleich ist, verändern kulturelle Prozesse das Verständnis unserer Wirklichkeit und haben Einfluss auf Denken, Fühlen und Handeln.

Diese Studie wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Transferzentrum für Neurowissenschaften und Lernen (znl) (Leitung: Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer) unter Mitwirkung von Herrn Profes-sor Dr. Dr. M.
