Die außerfamiliale Erziehung, Bildung und Betreuung von Kindern vor dem Eintritt in die Grundschule hat im letzten Jahrzehnt eine erhebliche Dynamik erlebt, wobei der Beginn vieler Entwicklungen bereits in den 1990er Jahren – zum Teil auch früher – zu sehen ist.
