Zusammenfassung
Der von Amartya Sen und Martha Nussbaum entwickelte Capability Ansatz (CA) ist ein international zunehmend diskutierter Ansatz zur Analyse individuellen Wohlergehens und sozialer Wohlfahrt. Der CA lässt sich als allgemeiner theoretischer Rahmen mit vielen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten sehen, er lässt sich auch als Kritik an der Wohlfahrtsökonomie und anderen Ansätzen zur Bewertung des Wohlergehens lesen oder aber als Vorschlag für eine neue Grundlage für interpersonelle Vergleiche des Wohlergehens. Es sind die vielen Anwendungs- und Interpretationsmöglichkeiten, die viele verschiedene Disziplinen mit diesem Ansatz arbeiten lässt. Die Erziehungswissenschaft gehört dazu und hat ein steigendes Interesse am CA.
