Jugendkriminalität in sozialen Kontexten – Zur Rolle von Wohngebieten und Schulen bei der Verstärkung von abweichendem Verhalten Jugendlicher

Zusammenfassung

Zu den Dimensionen, die in der Forschung über Jugenddelinquenz seit einigen Jahren wieder intensiver beachtet werden, zählen auch sozialräumliche Kontexte. Für Kinder und Jugendliche stellen das Stadtviertel, in dem sie wohnen, und die Schule, in die sie gehen, bedeutsame Sozialisationskontexte dar, die sie mit Ressourcen und Gelegenheiten für Erfahrungen, Interaktionen und Lernprozesse versorgen (Bronfenbrenner 1979; Grundmann/Lüscher 2000). Sowohl Wohngebiete als auch Schulen unterscheiden sich in Struktur, Zusammensetzung und Qualität voneinander und damit auch die Erfahrungen, die Jugendliche in ihnen machen. Die einen wohnen in wohlhabenden, ruhigen Einfamilienhaussiedlungen und besuchen Gymnasien, in denen das Leistungsniveau hoch und schulisches Fehlverhalten selten sind, die anderen wohnen in sozialen Brennpunkten und besuchen Haupt- oder Gesamtschulen, die den großen Anteil von sozial benachteiligten und lernschwachen Schülern vor große Herausforderungen stellt. Zwischen diesen Extremen gibt es breite Abstufungen und auch Kombinationen von lebensweltlichen Erfahrungen mit ganz unterschiedlichen Folgerungen für die Betroffenen. Dass die sozialräumlichen Kontexte von Jugendlichen so unterschiedlich sind, ist in erster Linie der grundlegenden Tatsache der sozialen (und ethnischen) Segregation geschuldet, die über verschiedene Mechanismen des Städtebaus, des Wohnungsmarktes, der Organisation des Bildungswesens etc. dazu führt, dass Familien in ähnlichen sozialen Lebenslagen auch räumlich eher in Nachbarschaft zueinander wohnen, und dass Jugendliche ähnlicher sozialer und ethnischer Herkunft eher die gleichen Schulen besuchen (Farwick 2007; Häußermann 2008; Kristen 2008; Oberwittler 2007a und b; Solga/Wagner 2008). Ein Ergebnis der Segregation vor allem in Großstädten ist die Existenz so genannter sozialer Brennpunkte, also Stadtviertel mit hohen Konzentrationen sozial benachteiligter Bewohner.
