Zusammenfassung
Im Frühjahr 2008 sorgte der erlebte Rassismus einer Pfarrersfamilie aus dem thüringischen Rudolstadt in den Medien für Schlagzeilen. Jannik, der Sohn einer Theologin indischer Abstammung, wurde bereits im Kindergarten wegen seiner Hautfarbe von den Altersgenossen verbal attackiert. Auch in der Schule ließen die Hänseleien und Beleidigungen nicht nach. Die Mitschüler hätten gespottet: „Du bist so braun, weil du dich mit Scheiße eingerieben hast.” Irgendwann wollte er von seinen Eltern wissen, was denn ein „Nigger“ sei. Zeitungsberichten zufolge wurde Jannik sogar mehrere Male von anderen Kindern verprügelt. Auch seine Schwester wurde in der Schule mit rassistischen Beleidigungen konfrontiert. Nachdem sogar die Eltern selbst immer wieder im Alltag ausgegrenzt und beleidigt wurden, entschied sich die Familie schließlich den Wohnort zu verlassen. Sie zogen ins Rheinland und gingen mit ihrem Schicksal an die Presse.
