Abstract

The current positions of sociologists as well as of political scientists, historians, and economists clearly illustrate a paradigmatic turn where the obsolete “methodological nationalism” has been replaced with a global analytical perspective (Cotesta 2007). At the same time, the sociologies of globalisation show how much sociology depended on that “methodological nationalism“ (Cotesta 2004; 2006).
