Abstract
This chapter will test the following two hypotheses:

Non-standard workers face greater risks in making transitions to unemployment or inactivity than standard workers.
-
2.
Unemployment insurance systems that strongly incorporate welfare princeples instead of insurance principles provide better coverage of non-standard workers.
