Transnationale Frauennetzwerke in (Südost-)Asien. „Arbeitsteilung“ in der Interessenvertretung

Zusammenfassung

Herausforderungen und Chancen der Globalisierung haben die Gründung und Proliferation zivilgesellschaftlicher Interessenorganisationen auf nationaler, transnationaler und internationaler Ebene begünstigt. Zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen treten infolgedessen auch nicht ausschließlich auf der nationalen Ebene auf, sondern es erfolgt eine Netzwerkbildung, die der transnationalen Bündelung von Interessen dient. Im Zuge dieser Interessenbündelung hat sich eine "globale Arbeitsteilung" herausgebildet, die in der Süd-Süd- wie auch innerhalb der Süd-Nord-Kooperation erkennbar ist. Der Beitrag thematisiert die arbeitsteilige Kooperation über nationale und regionale Grenzen hinaus am Beispiel der transnationalen Vernetzung von Frauenorganisationen in (Südost-)Asien.

Abstract

Challenges and opportunities of globalization have worked in favour of an increasing proliferation of civil society organizations and advocacy networks on the national, transnational and international level. Civil society organizations are active beyond national borders, facilitating transnational networking and aggregation of interests. The phenomenon of transantional interest aggregation has also brought about a 'global division of labor' among those organizations, which is discernable in south-south and south-north cooperation alike. The article addresses this cooperation based on a division of labor beyond national and regional borders, using case studies of women’s organizations in (Southeast) Asia.
