Zusammenfassung

Der syrische Aufstand als Teil der regionalen, arabischen Revolte begann im März 2011. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren die Präsidenten in Tunesien und Ägypten bereits gestürzt, der Aufstand in Bahrain gewaltsam niedergeschlagen und die NATO-Intervention in Libyen angelaufen.
