Zusammenfassung
Vor dem Hintergrund schwieriger wirtschaftlicher Rahmenbedingungen sieht sich Großbritannien einer erheblichen strategischen Unsicherheit gegenüber und wird gleichzeitig sicherheitspolitisch durch das fortdauernde Engagement in Afghanistan belastet. Vor diesem Hintergrund stellt der Libyeneinsatz eine lohnenswerte Fallstudie zur Neubewertung zentraler Aspekte der (maritimen) strategischen Ausrichtung des Vereinigten Königreiches dar, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Frage, ob sich die Sicherheitspolitik Londons zukünftig anhand eher kontinentaler oder eher maritimer Parameter ausrichtet.
