Zusammenfassung
Ein körperlich aktiver Lebensstil spielt für den Behandlungserfolg bei Patienten mit chronischen Erkrankungen eine zentrale Rolle. Aufgrund ihrer Verhaltensorientierung scheint die Bewegungs- und Sporttherapie gut geeignet, neben physiologischen Effekten auch psycho-soziale Ziele in der Rehabilitation zu erreichen. Neben dem körperlichen Training können Informations- und Wissensaspekte vermittelt sowie emotional-motivationale Faktoren angesprochen werden. Erste Evaluationsergebnisse bescheinigen dem integrativen Vorgehen positive Effekte auf Verhaltensebene, wenngleich es hinsichtlich der Aufrechterhaltung der Verhaltensänderung weiteren Optimierungsbedarf gibt. Die fehlende Nachhaltigkeit liegt möglicherweise in einer mangelnden Beratungsqualität begründet, die zu wenig an den Bedürfnissen der Patienten und deren Lebensumstände orientiert ist. Die Methode des Motivational Interviewing (MI) ist ein Beratungsansatz, der diesem Problem durch die gezielte Steigerung der intrinsischen Motivation begegnen könnte. Im folgenden Beitrag wird die aktuelle Befundlage zur Wirksamkeit von verhaltensorientierten Sportprogrammen in der Rehabilitation aufgearbeitet und deren Nachhaltigkeit diskutiert. Die Methode des MI wird als sinnvolle Ergänzung zu diesen Rehabilitationsprogrammen vorgestellt und ein Überblick über die Befundlage zur Wirksamkeit im Kontext der Förderung eines körperlich aktiven Lebensstils gegeben. Abschließend wird der Ansatz auf seine Realisierbarkeit im rehabilitativen Setting kritisch hinterfragt.
