Zusammenfassung
Seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhundert fi ndet in Deutschland und in den USA eine ungebrochene Bildungsexpansion statt – auch im Bereich der sonder pädagogischen Förderung.1 Immer mehr Kinder und Jugendliche erhalten eine sonderpädagogische Förderung. Dabei gibt es in beiden Ländern seit Jahrzehnten eine deutliche Überrepräsentanz von männlichen Schülern, sozial Benachteiligten und ethnischen Minderheiten in sonderpädagogische Fördersysteme.
