Zusammenfassung
Die Globalisierung hat die ehemals klaren Grenzen der Organisationskommunikation aufgeweicht. Besonders in Krisensituationen wird deutlich, wie stark die räumlichen und zeitlichen Distanzen v. a. durch neue Informations- und Kommunikationsmedien geschrumpft sind. Die Anschläge in Norwegen, die Ölkatastrophe im Golf von Mexiko und den Reaktorunfall von Fukushima verfolgten Menschen in aller Welt in Echtzeit. Im Internet oder am Bildschirm beobachteten sie, wie Behörden, Unternehmen und soziale Bewegungen handelten und kommunizierten. Und sie erlebten unmittelbar, wie Dritte darauf reagierten. Die Kommunikation von Organisationen ist heute auch in Alltagssituationen vielfach international sichtbar.
