Zusammenfassung

Deontologische Moraltheorien bilden, neben tugendethischen und konsequentialistischen Konzeptionen, einen der drei wichtigsten Theorietypen der normativen Ethik. Anders als in der Tugendethik steht in der deontologischen Ethik nicht die moralische Beurteilung von Charaktereigenschaften, sondern die von Einzelhandlungen bzw. von Handlungstypen im Vordergrund. Und im Gegensatz zum Konsequentialismus ist deontologischen Ansätzen zufolge der moralische Status einer Handlung nicht nur vom Wert der Handlungskonsequenzen abhängig.
