Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Stichwort ‚moralischer Relativismus‘ wird eine große Bandbreite philosophischer Positionen verhandelt. Daher ist es sinnvoll, unterschiedliche relativistische Thesen in der Ethik voneinander abzugrenzen. Im Zentrum des Kapitels steht zu diesem Zweck die Charakterisierung von drei häufig unterschiedenen Formen des moralischen Relativismus: des deskriptiven, des metaethischen und des normativen Relativismus. Diese Spielarten des Relativismus werden in Hinblick auf Gründe beleuchtet, die jeweils für und gegen ihre Plausibilität ins Feld geführt werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden mögliche Implikationen von Spielarten des Relativismus für Fragen der Angewandten Ethik thematisiert.
