Zusammenfassung

Die Wahrnehmung von Menschen mit Behinderung ist vorwiegend negativ: Eine Behinderung wird als Defizit und als Abweichung von Normen wahrgenommen. Diese Wahrnehmung drückt sich in Stereotypen über Menschen mit Behinderung aus, die kulturell geteilt oder individuell sein können. Menschen haben aufgrund ihrer eigenen Erfahrungen, der indirekten Lernerfahrungen durch Andere, durch Medien, Erziehung usw. individuelle Vorstellungen von den Mitgliedern verschiedener Gruppen.
