Der Begriff »Postkolonialismus« bezeichnet Kontexte und Konstellationen, die zeitlich und formal nach dem europäischen Kolonialismus liegen, allerdings deutlich von diesem geprägt sind. Der Begriff ist zentral für die Postkolonialen Studien, die entsprechend die vielfältigen Facetten unserer nachkolonialen Gegenwart thematisieren.
