Zussamenfassung
Eine deutsche Perspektive auf die Nazizeit, die sich nicht innerhalb des Narrativs vom antifaschistischen Widerstand bewegt, brauchte in der DDR der frühen 1970er Jahre Rechtfertigung. Mehrfach werden russische Freunde als beglaubigende Autorität ins Spiel gebracht, häufig auch der polnisch-jüdische Autor Kazimierz Brandys, der ab 1977 in Polen unter Publikationsverbot stand.
