Zusammenfassung
Weber entwickelt den Begriff der Bürokratie im Zusammenhang mit seiner Soziologie der Herrschaft. Die legale Herrschaft (s. Kap. II.28) stütze sich typischerweise auf eine bürokratisch geordnete Verwaltung: »Der reinste Typus der legalen Herrschaft ist diejenige mittelst bureaukratischen Verwaltungsstabes« (WuG, 126).
