Wenn wir von Erziehung reden, kann man [dies] als ein bekanntes Wort voraus setzen (Schleiermacher 1826/2017, 545). So beginnt Friedrich Schleiermacher 1826 seine Vorlesung zur Pädagogik; besser bekannt ist die ältere, philologisch weniger korrekte Fassung des Satzes: Was man im allgemeinen unter Erziehung versteht, ist als bekannt vorauszusetzen.
