Unter »spätem Neuplatonismus« versteht man die von Porphyrios und vor allem Jamblich geprägte letzte Epoche der griechischen Philosophie, die sich ab dem Beginn des 5. Jh.s n. Chr. vor allem in den philosophischen Schulen von Athen und Alexandrien entfaltete; ihre weitgehende inhaltliche Einheit ist von Hadot 1978 gezeigt worden.
