Zussamenfassung

Als Mittelplatonismus bezeichnet man die Phase vom Ende der skeptischen Akademie unter Antiochos von Askalon im 1. Jh. v. Chr. bis zu dem im 3. Jh. n. Chr. mit Plotin beginnenden Neuplatonismus (vgl. Dillon 1977; Whittaker 1987; knapp orientierend: Baltes 1992; unentbehrliche Materialsammlung zum antiken Platonismus: Dörrie/Baltes 1987–2008).
