Zusammenfassung

Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, eine Einführung in den Bereich der Informationssysteme zu geben. Die grundlegende Betrachtungsweise der Systemtheorie soll als Einführung dienen. Anschließend sollen die Aufgaben und Fähigkeiten eines Informationssystems beschrieben sowie die Einbettung in die Unternehmungsfunktion des Informationsmanagements erklärt werden. Weiters werden unterschiedliche Definitionen des Informationssystems vorgestellt und kategorisiert. Aufbauend auf diesen Erläuterungen wird eine für die vorliegende Arbeit gültige Definition des Informationssystems mit einigen systemischen Betrachtungen vorgestellt.
