Abstract

Arteriosclerosis is very strongly connected with the aging process. The lots of theories over the last 170 years elucidate two crucial problems of arteriosclerosis research:

  1. 1.

Arteriosclerosis (AS) is generated by multiple endogenous and exogenous factors influencing differently the progression of the disease.

  2. 2.

Arteriosclerosis develops very slowly over decades. That means the causing biochemical agents may show only minimal deviations from normal range at any given time of the pathogenesis.
