Zusammenfassung
Wird eine Schuld (Staats- oder Kommunalanleihe, Obligation, Hypothek, Darlehnsschuld) nicht auf einmal im Gesamtbetrage, sondern in Teilbeträgen (Raten) zurückgezahlt(getilgt, amortisiert), so spricht man von einer Tilgungsschuld (Amortisationsschuld). Für sie pflegt man besondere Tilgungspläne (Amortisationspläne) aufzustellen, aus denen der Tilgungsvorgang und die laufende Verzinsung der Schuldreste (Restkapitalien) für jedes Jahr ersichtlich ist.
