Zusammenfassung
In der aktuellen Marketingforschung haben statistische Verfahren eine große Bedeutung erlangt. Ohne die Kenntnis von neuesten Methoden der Ökonometrie ist es so gut wie unmöglich, anspruchsvolle empirische Studien durchzuführen. Die Modellierung von Marketingreaktionen erfordert die Berücksichtigung von Heterogenität (Konsumenten reagieren unterschiedlich auf Marketing), Endogenität (Unternehmen setzen ihre Marketingbudgets nicht zufällig), dynamischen Effekten (Marketing wirkt über einen längeren Zeitraum) oder nichtlinearen Reaktionsfunktionen (Sättigungseffekte im Marketing). Somit stößt das einfache lineare Modell im Marketing an seine Grenzen. Ein Ansatz zur schätztechnischen Bewältigung dieser vier Probleme sind Verfahren der Schätzung mit Methoden der numerischen Simulation. Besonders hervorzuheben sind in diesem Zusammenhang hierarchische Bayes-Ansätze (HB) und die Schätzung mittels Maximum Simulated Likelihood (MSL).
