Zusammenfassung
Männlichkeit und Männlichkeiten als Kategorien und Konstrukte werden — in Verbindung mit Jungen und Männern — oftmals in monolithischer Weise als Referenzpunkte für eine Vielzahl von Praktiken und Identitäten verwendet. Damit können sie den Unterschieden und tatsächlichen Kräfteverhältnissen zwischen jenen, die von diesen Kategorien erfaßt werden, und jenen, die sich außerhalb befinden2, nicht gerecht werden. Wie können wir Erfahrungen von Männern, an verschiedenen Orten und mit verschiedenen Identitäten, verstehen? Wie stellen Männer aus diesen Erfahrungen Sinn her? Wie könnten wir die Welt in Kategorien benennen, die nicht gänzlich von Dominanzbeziehungen institutionalisiert und reguliert sind?
