Zusammenfassung
Der offiziell am 3.10.1945 in Paris gegründete WGB war erstmalig eine weltumfassende Einheitsorganisation der Gewerkschaftsverbände. Aus dieser Dachorganisation, deren Einheit bis 1948 gewahrt werden konnte, blieben zunächst die G. Deutschlands und Japans ausgeschlossen, während die G. der Sowjetunion maßgeblich als Mitglieder fungierten.
