Zusammenfassung
Unter Auswertung versteht man ganz allgemein die Informationsverarbeitung aus Bildern, einschließlich geeigneter Darstellung und Speicherung. Die Kapitel 3 und 4 behandeln die Auswertung der geometrischen Information, die nach wie vor den zentralen Gegenstand photogrammetrischer Arbeitsverfahren bildet. Am Beginn der geometrischen Auswertung von Bildern steht stets die Bildinformation und ein Interpretationsprozeß, der mit Identifizierung bezeichnet wird. Dieser wichtige und komplexe Prozeß der Zuordnung zwischen Gegenständen und Strukturen des Objekts und den Schwärzungssignalen der Bilder ist lange Zeit als trivial behandelt worden und findet erst neuerdings die gebührende Aufmerksamkeit1).
