Zusammenfassung
Künstliche-Intelligenz-Forschung (Artificial Intelligence) und Kognitive Psychologie scheinen — außer dem anthropomorphisierenden Beigeschmack der Bezeichnung „Künstliche Intelligenz“ — auf den ersten Blick kaum etwas miteinander gemein zu haben. Herkunft, Ziele, Methodologie und Beurteilungskriterien für Ergebnisse der beiden Fachrichtungen sind viel zu unterschiedlich: Auf der einen Seite eine technische Disziplin, hauptsächlich der Informatik entsprungen, damit beschäftigt, eine Maschine mit bestimmten „brauchbaren“ Eigenschaften auszustatten, also in einem Zyklus von Problemanalyse und Realisierungsversuchen immer bessere und komplexere Artefakte zu konstruieren. Bewertungsmaßstäbe dabei sind Realisierbarkeit, praktische Verwendbarkeit, Zweckmäßigkeit, Wirtschaftlichkeit, etc.
