Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung der westlichen Länder zwischen 1945 und 1975 ist eng verbunden mit folgenden Merkmalen: (1) überdurchschnittlich hohe wirtschaftliche Wachstumsraten; (2) beträchtlicher Anstieg der Reallöhne; (3) stetiger Ausbau des Wohlfahrtsstaates; und (4) Verlagerung der Produktion von Gütern zu Dienstleistungen. Diese Ereignisse brachten Arbeitsplätze in neuen Wirtschaftszweigen mit neuen fachlichen Anforderungen hervor und veränderten die beruflichen Profile in den einzelnen Wirtschaftssektoren. Der Wandel in der Struktur der Erwerbstätigkeit nach Wirtschaftszweigen und Berufskategorien ist ein Bereich, in welchem sich diese Entwicklungstendenzen widerspiegeln.
