Aufnahme von β-HCH durch Lolium perenne L.

Stoffumsatz im wurzelnahen Raum

Abstract

In a pot experiment under greenhouse conditions, the uptake of β-HCH by rye-grass (Lolium perenne L.) was studied in order to prove the transfer of β-HCH from soil to the animal and human food chain. A considerable uptake in leaves of ryegrass was found. Due to growth dilution effect increasing with plant age, the β-HCH concentration decreased. As a result of a high adsorption ability of the root surface, β-HCH content of roots was almost fivefold higher than those of leaves and stubbles. A similar distribution of selected hydrocarbons (α-, γ-, δ-HCH, and HCB) in soil and roots was observed.
