In diesem Kapitel werden Begriffe und Aufgabenstellungen des Gesamtgebietes der digitalen Bildverarbeitung kurz erläutert, die im Zusammenhang mit den in späteren Kapiteln darzulegenden Bildbearbeitungsoperatoren stehen. Bei diesen Operatoren werden einzelne Zielstellungen oder Eigenschaften genannt, die im Kontext des Gesamtgebietes der digitalen Bild ver arbeitung einzuordnen sind.
