Abstract
With the background of the limitation of nature as a resource, as well as a deposit site of waste, the consideration of ecological interactions becomes more and more imperative for planning technical production processes.
Taking this into account, one of the necessary requirements is the modelling of ecological systems, the conceptual facilities and difficulties of which are investigated and discussed in this paper, with respect to an aquatic laboratory ecosystem by applying system simulation and parameter estimation.
