Im Themenkreis des Verhältnisses von Technik zum strukturellen und institutionellen Wandel der Gesellschaft stellt sich die wichtige Frage, welche Rolle der Technik im Wandel in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft zukommt. Sind die in den Strukturen, in den Institutionen und in den Organisationen zu erkennenden Veränderungen ursprünglich auf den technischen Wandel zurückzuführen? Und ist dies der Ursprung, der gesellschaftliche Veränderung überhaupt in Gang setzt?
