In diesem Kapitel behandeln wir ein grundlegendes mathematisches Schlußverfahren, das man das Prinzip von der vollständigen Induktion Induktionsprinzip Induktion oder etwas salopp auch den Schluß von n auf n + 1 nennt. Der Mathematiker sagt oft „wie man mittels Induktion (oder: induktiv) beweist“ oder „durch Schluß von n auf n + 1 sieht man…“.
