Zusammenfassung

Konsumenten üben durch die Produkte, die sie kaufen und verwenden, einen bedeutenden Einfluß auf die Umwelt aus. Der Verbrauch von Elektrizität, Heizöl und Benzin müßte so reduziert werden, daß auch künftige Generationen noch über genügend Reserven verfügen. Phosphate in Waschmitteln tragen insbesondere zur Wasserverschmutzung bei und Autoabgase verunreinigen die Luft. Recycling erfordert ein hohes Maß an Bereitwilligkeit der Konsumenten, leere Flaschen und Dosen zurückzubringen und das Altpapier zu sammeln.

Die Übertragung des englisch sprach igen Manuskripts ins Deutsche wurde von Herrn Dipl.-Kfm. W. Kook vorgenommen.
