Abstract
Our discussions have so far been mainly concentrated on nuclear problems dealing with scattering and reactions. To show that our theory is equally well suited for studying the physical properties of nuclear bound systems, we shall give in this chapter a microscopic description of rotational states. We choose to illustrate with this particular type of collective states simply for definiteness; as will be seen, our considerations can certainly be applied similarly also to other collective phenomena, such as nuclear vibrational excitations.
